MCG Trucking

In response to the central corridor light rail project that is planned to connect downtown St. Paul to downtown Minneapolis, MCG has assembled a group of Women and Minority Owner-Operator Truckers to work on the project.  MCG assisted the truckers that were already in the field to become DBE certified as well as recruit Minority and Woman Owner Operators to become drivers in the construction industry.  MCG has partnered with a local Minority-Owned trucking company (M.B.E., Inc.) to work on the project.

MCG Trucking has created a unique method of Minority and Women-Owned Business collaboration to achieve an unparalleled level of DBE participation on all of our projects which to date is a combined 61.75% with over $1,242,270 invoiced to date.*

We have achieved this success by working with current Minority and Women truckers to assist them in getting DBE certified.  Secondly, MCG has created a unique database which accurately tracks DBE participation as well as integrates with dispatch and accounting systems to ensure staff has real-time DBE participation numbers to ensure the highest participation percentage possible.  Throughout this process we have worked very closely with the Office of Civil Rights at the Metropolitan Council to ensure we are creating best practices according to the methods of their auditing department.
